Forvus Research, Inc. Announces 3270 Emulation PCI Adapter

Raleigh, NC - Forvus Research, Inc. today announced the Forvus 3270 Coax Adapter (PCI), joining the Forvus line of adapters that provide connectivity for the PC workstation to the 3270 host. The adapter interconnects the desktop PC to an SNA control unit via coaxial cable or Type 3 twisted pair without the need for an external balun.
The new adapter can take advantage of the PCI interface (Peripheral Controller Interconnect) provided in the newest versions of Personal Computers found in today's marketplace, supporting plug-and-play technology. The PCI adapter supports DOS and Windows 95/98/NT operating systems.
The Forvus 3270 Coax Adapter (PCI) contains support for both CUT and DFT mode coax connections, and coax/twisted pair (RJ-11). Suggested retail price is $339.95USD.
