February 10, 1999
Raleigh, NC - Forvus Research, Inc. announced today the Forvus Emulator competitive
upgrade program for companies using a competitive 3270 emulator for connection to a
mainframe host. Available until April 30, 1999, Forvus is targeting 3270 emulation software
customers who are not satisfied with their current product or have been stranded by vendors discontinuing
their products without further development, updates, or service packs, or even technical support.
With this new program, Forvus is offering the Forvus Emulator (Complete) product for $95.00USD
for qualified users of an existing 3270 emulation product.
The Forvus Emulator (Complete) contains support for both CUT and DFT mode coax connections, SDLC,
IEEE 802.2, Novell's Netware for SAA, Microsoft SNA Server, and TN3270/TN3287 over TCP/IP. The
suggested retail price is $295.00USD.
All of the emulators from Forvus Research, Inc. are
distinctive in their ease of use, speed, and complete compatibility with IBM and Memorex
Telex fixed-function display terminals. Forvus' product compatibility and our extensive
technical experience allow us to provide our customers with a cost-effective solution to
connecting with their enterprise mainframe.
